Gaea’s love of plants undoubtedly stems from the circumstances of her creation; as she’s part human, part plant. Gaea was ‘born’ in a secret laboratory, created using genes taken from the daughter of the scientist who was working on the k-girl. The scientist’s daughter had passed away the week before, and the man (who had been working on genetically modifying plants) decided to use his government-funded work to his own ends. Combining 99% human genes with 1% from a genetically modified rose, the result grew quickly into the k-girl now known as Gaea.

Due to some incredible circumstance, the rose genes used in Gaea’s creation had been carrying a small number of spores from the kaiju known as Biollante, granting the plant-girl powers far beyond what she would have had if she’d been given genes from an ordinary rose. Although the scientist’s gambit was an almost complete success (while her body functioned seamlessly, Gaea had no memories of her former life, and the kaiju genes inherited from Biollante made her quite aggressive), in a cruel twist of fate the laboratory burned to the ground after being struck by lighting during a storm.

Thanks to her Biollante genes, Gaea managed to regenerate the burns she suffered (which would have been easily fatal to an ordinary human), and the girl was quickly discovered and seized by the authorities as she began walking around the city surrounding the burnt-down lab. After a short meeting on the matter, the government decided to send Gaea to Daikaiju High which had been recently finished. As such Gaea, alongside girls like Gina, Ghidi and Crystal, was one of the very first students to arrive at DKH, and she quickly found herself a hobby in tending to the plant life around the school.

Gaea’s tentacles are a constant source of annoyance and/or arousal for many of the k-girls at the school, as Gaea often let’s the vines act ‘on their own’, sneaking them up the legs of other girls, tickling or stroking them gently. One k-girl who seems to love Gaea for this, however, is Organna, and she can often be seen following the plant-girl around. Another friend of Gaea's is the Battra-morph Beattra, and the two girls are often seen together tending to DKH's plants and trees (Gaea), as well as the animals living there (Beattra). It is interesting to note that, while Gaea is quite possibly the greatest flirt at Daikaiju High, she takes special 'care' in this whenever concerning Montanna, the only other plant-girl on the school. Some k-girls have suggested that Gaea might actually be in love with the Matango-morph, and it is quite possible that the feelings (if they do exist) are returned in kind by Montanna.
