Background Info
Little is known of the trio now referred to as "the Dorat Triplets" by their peers before their arrival on NeoMonster Island. As infants, they were found on the shore of Lagos Island in the Pacific, apparently immune to the background radiation. Due to their physical similarities to members of the Ghidorah clan, they were placed into the custody of Ghidra, a miko (or shrine maiden) who has recently moved back to the Dakaiju High area, since she was the only clan member of appropriate age to care for them.
Named for the three heads of the mythological King Ghidorah, the otherwise identical trio are only discernable from each other by their personalities and actions. While Shuko remains the (comparatively) cool, calm and level-headed leader of the three, Kanan is a hot-headed, short tempered fireball with a penchant for sulking and picking fights; playful, happy-go-lucky oddball Junrei usually acts as the fluid medium which keeps the three in harmony, if only because the other two inevitably have to help her when one of her jokes backfires on her. In fact, some have observed that the Triplets' affections for one another go far beyond mere "sisterly love," but Ghidra will hear nothing of this.
Despite these distinct identities, the three are otherwise inseparable and take a particular delight in fooling people into thinking they are one another. In fact, mild pranks are the Triplets' forte', and their favorite target is Guy Ko Kim Odo, whom they first met during a brief stay at his home monestary with Ghidra. While the incessant pranking seems born more out of affection and a possible crush, the frequent shouts of "Why does the world hate Kim so?!" remain a testament to their effectiveness.
Oddly, considering their mischievous natures, the trio have a strong moralistic streak, fostered by their beloved if long-suffering guardian, Ghidra; to this end, they have rejected their "auntie," Kazira, and her attempts at converting them to the ways of the traditional King of Terror. However, they retain their rivalry with the Mothra clan, initially teasing youngest member, Immomu, and her cousin Battamei mercilessly. Only the intervention of Maisy, whom they remain both intrigued and, to a lesser extent, in awe of (due to the sheer epic scope of her pranking) has curbed this, and even Kanan has grudgingly admitted Immomu "is okay...for a worm."
It has been noted, however, that the three have been sighted, repeatedly, in the vicinity of MQ-Ghidi sightings. While they have confessed to being a fan of the elusive henshin, to the point of wearing dragon-headed pendants similar to the hero, the fact that they are typically seen BEFORE the hero arrives has yet to be addressed. In fact, witnesses claim that it was MQ-Ghidi herself who delivered the infant Dorats to Ghidra's monestary, although she wasn't sighted again until years later.
