Well THIS is what Twisted Kaiju Theater should have looked like from the beginning. But it didn't. But now it does! It really should have. I'm going to test this out and see how it does.

This episode really takes me back to the misspent halcyon days of my youth. Sitting in front of an old TV set that if it overheated would lose the picture when I could have been outside playing and getting in trouble. Now that is a childhood. The comic was shot using a combination of Season One and current photo techniques. It was a really good exercise in blending techniques.

Next Monday I turn forty years old. FORTY!!! How did this creep up on me so fast? I swear to God it seemed just last week I was thirty-three. My mortality and afterlife have always been on my mind, but I still haven't had the presence of mind to really do anything about it. I know for a fact that I'm a different man than I was last year, and the year before that. Like Eddie Money sings, I Wanna Go Back and do it all over. This is the mantra we all chant, yet who would we be without the mistakes we made. Would we know any better? Would we truly BE any better?

You fans truly have been the best any doddering old webcomic artist could ask for. Through the highs and the lows, it's been a blast. There's no fuel meter to tell me how much more time we have together, and I don't know how long Neo-Monster Island will last. But until the wheels come off, until our shoes shred, until we run out of road, until we suck in our last breath: pedal down - hat tight - radio up - run all night.
